Tracking

Tracking returns shipment status and location updates directly from the carrier while a shipment is in transit.

How it works

\n

Once a shipment has been dispatched to a carrier, request tracking for it. Shipwell then keeps in contact with the carrier and delivers status updates as they happen, normalized into the same set of event types regardless of which carrier is hauling the shipment — so your downstream systems don't need carrier-specific logic to understand what's happening.

Every carrier reports status a little differently, but Shipwell maps each update into a consistent set of event types, from pickup, through transit, to delivery. See Statuses for the full list of tracking event types.

Tracking events also appear on the shipment's Tracking tab as they arrive, plotted alongside the shipment's route:
